Meet Dr. Beau Bridgeman

Dr. Beau Bridgeman grew up immersed in the horse industry, with deep, multigenerational roots in PMU ranching. He was actively involved in the Manitoba High School Rodeo Association, and horses have been central to his life from an early age—shaping his path toward a career in equine veterinary medicine.

He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in Saskatoon in 2023. Following graduation, he completed a one-year internship at Elders Equine, during which he also completed externships at several equine reproduction-focused clinics in Texas, further developing his interest in advanced reproductive medicine. He continued on as an associate veterinarian at Elders Equine, gaining extensive experience in performance horse medicine, diagnostics, and field-based care. He has also spent time working in Arizona with Stanton Equine, expanding his exposure to high-level performance horses and diverse practice styles. His professional interests include sports medicine and equine reproduction, with a focus on practical, results-driven approaches to improving horse health and performance.

Outside of veterinary practice, Beau remains actively involved in the performance horse world. He enjoys roping, rodeoing, hunting, fishing, playing hockey, and spending time outdoors.

Samantha Wood-Veterinary Assistant & Clinic Manager

Samantha began her career in veterinary medicine in a small animal clinic as a veterinary assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical support and patient care. Over time, she transitioned into equine medicine, aligning her professional path with a lifelong passion for horses.

Samantha has been riding since a young age, starting in English disciplines before transitioning into Western. She also gained early hands-on experience working in English stables, where she was involved in the care and handling of high-end performance horses. These experiences contributed to her understanding of the demands and expectations within performance-focused equine environments.

In addition to her veterinary background, Samantha has worked as a Registered Massage Therapist where she successfully owned and operated her own business for several years. This diverse experience supports her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of anatomy and movement.

She is currently completing her AAEVT certification and remains committed to continuing education and professional development within the equine industry.

Samantha’s combined experience in veterinary medicine, business management, and the horse industry allows her to support the delivery of efficient, high-quality care while ensuring smooth clinic operations. Her dedication to both the patients and the practice makes her a key part of the Bridgeman Performance Equine team.
